The end of the ear adventure

Diary | August 29, 2023

Yesterday I was again at the magical place that turns bipeds with money into bipeds without money - the vet.

Yesterday I was again at the magical place that turns bipeds with money into bipeds without money – the vet. The boy is always whining in the car that he should have bought a Mustang instead of me, that it would cost and consume about the same. Hydra puts her hands over my ears so I don’t hear the outrageous obscenity. And she reminds the boy matter-of-factly how sad he always is when I don’t go to his side of the bed at night.

The traitor then carries me all the way, hiding me under his jacket so I don’t get my fur wet and also to redeem himself for his insolence. Anyway, he’s out of luck, I’m going to Hydra’s part of the bed tonight and that’s it!

I was really looking forward to the doctor, she had the treats ready and we could get straight to the point: checking my problematic ear. There was nothing to collect for the check-up, the pool at the bottom of my ear had completely disappeared, and apart from the fact that my ear canal is somehow conical by nature, which means that my eardrum will be either some kind of poofidery or maybe not even there. Either way, it is definitely not normal like the other ear, which is not a problem at all. My bipeds aren’t quite standard either and how lovely we exist.

So I am officially healthy! Which the doctor acknowledged with two pieces of duck cubes and I was more than proud of my healing and begging abilities. Then I had one more anti-allergy shot, which I go in for regularly, since we were there. And then we were out of the merry way to meet the beautiful day, which ended at the exact moment when about a hundred liters of ice water spewed out of the gutter behind my neck.
